Elina (1975) studied photography at The Kent Institute of Art and Design graduating 2001 as Bachelor of Arts. Following her graduation Elina worked in London assisting various photographers such as Jenny van Sommer’s, Jane McLeish-Kelsey, Lawrence Cendrowitz and Ulla Nyman

In 2000 Elina was shortlisted in British Marie Claire young portrait photographer talent competition.

Since 2003 Elina has been working as a photographer in London, her clients including Sunday Times Magazine, Independent, Amelia’s magazine, Cosmopolitan UK & Clash.

Since moving back to Helsinki, Finland in the spring 2006, Elina has been photographing advertising, fashion, portraits and editorial for Olivia, Trendi, and other Finnish fashion and life style magazines.

Elina has a passion for traveling and finds inspiration in little intimate moments in people’s day to day live. These interests have played an important part in her unique approach in capturing timeless, vivid and intimate moments through her photography.

Currently Elina is working on putting together a photo exhibition and a book about her experiences and findings from traveling in Mexico City and Los Angeles, and living in London and Helsinki.

Elina now lives in Helsinki and works between London and Helsinki. She is also one of the founders and the Director of Photography of Falter magazine; an international visually driven publication published from London bi-annually.
